There is no getting around the fact that most events need a tremendous amount of electrical power for such things as lighting & sound equipment, catering, security, television broadcast/production and other media needs. If you have enclosed structures, you may also need temporary heating or air conditioning which requires even more power. Electrical power and HVAC are often one of the top three largest production costs for almost any type of event.
In addition to the costs, electricity use at events can be a huge source of pollution. In most locations there is simply not enough electrical feed available for the temporary use of the venue and diesel-powered generators are often required. For example, festivals are often situated in public parks or fields that lack adequate access to a power grid. While diesel generators are one of the most efficient ways to produce large amounts of power, they also emit large amounts of green house gas (CO2) and other "local emissions" such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Oxide (NOx), Sulphur Oxide (SOx) and harmful particulate matter.
In 2015, the United Nations passed a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. There are 17 UN Global Goals and each of them can be mapped to actions that will help to create a more sustainable future. While I do not have the answers to poverty, hunger and global education, I do have a vast amount of industry experience to help you meet your power, HVAC, and electrical distribution needs in a sustainable and cost-efficient way.
